Back at it at Laurelwood Golf Course!

Summer is here. The weather is beautiful. Some Top Drawers are traveling. The rest are meeting up and sketching together. Laurelwood Golf Course has plenty of shaded tables to sit and sketch.

No Zoomers this time. We decided to skip the meetup because it landed on the 4th of July.

  • A beautiful day to sketch!

    A beautiful day to sketch!

Top Drawers were at Laurelwood Golf Course this time. And Zoomers do some zooming.

    He starts with ink.

    Then he added watercolor.

Then colored pencil and lastly pastels to lighten up some areas.

Peggy, Danita, Rita, Bev, and Rowena. Small group this time. Others are traveling or had other obligations at the time. Though we missed them we still had plenty to share.

  • Farmer’s Market and Zoomers!

    Farmer’s Market and Zoomers!

Top Drawers were at Lane County Farmer’s Market. Parking was an issue so fewer members made it. Plus it’s that time of year where some members are off traveling. Zoomers share too!

Peggy, Danita, Bev, Daisy, Linda, Bitty, and BarbaraSo!

Why Zoom? Some of our members moved faraway and wanted to stay in touch so we zoom every Friday morning and share what we’ve sketched that week.

  • Fabulous sunshine, flowers, and sketchers. And with sticks and sand you can sketch.

Fabulous sunshine, flowers, and sketchers. And with sticks and sand you can sketch.

We were at Hendricks Park, Eugene. This 78 acre park is the oldest city park in Eugene. With 12 acres devoted to a rhododendron garden.

Also below, there was some sand portrait sketching on some Oregon beaches.

Bill has been on the central Oregon coast for a bit. He’s been text sharing his sand portraits.

While Danita camped on the Southern Oregon coast she thought she’d get in on the action.

Bill texted that Danita must have a stronger back than him to be able to bend over and sketch like that. Plus, he said, those lips need some work.

Danita said, yeah I struggled with those lips.

Then the next day Danita did a self portrait. Lips have not improved.

Bill texted, “Now you’re cookin. I believe the bigger stick is the way to go.”

    Then he texted, “just sayin.”

Here’s a couple of Danita’s coast camping trip sketches.
