Jane, our webmaster, just got out of brain surgery in time to bring her son Sean along to sketch with the group! Apologies for a spacier report than usual, mostly stolen from Facebook photos by Peggy! Thanks.
Such a delight to have Erik back, & going into watercolor.
Daisy got a view across the room – such charm.
Eva was at the next table, having fun with iridescent paints.
Gail en;oys playing with pointillism. (is that how you spell it?)
Jane was so happy to be withh her son Sean – not a lot of sketching, though.
Jim H. reallly.eally got caught up in the colorful detail around us.
Marsha was just glad to be there – time for a sketch break.
Laura had some great fingerless gloves to keep her fingers nimble.
Lynda decided people were too difficult to draw, so chose CHAIRS! ACK!
When Peggy wasn’t running around taking photos, she sketched decorations.
Sean tried his mom’s framing format, and WATERCOLOR! You go, guy!
We had to have treats, because it’s a good by party for Hugh & Sandy, too, with Lealan, Marsha, Laura; the studio setup for eager carvers; Hugh, Lynda, Lealan, BarbSo, Sandy.
And here’s how the thing unfolded – lots of pre-planning. Most important thing when you begin carving? DON’T CUT YOURSELF! No bandaids were necessary, however. Ha!
Center photo of Lealan’s dyed silk scarf – mushrooms!
Laura exclaims; Michael & Hugh take a break; demos of hand exercises!
And to prove that we’re sketchers, Daisy actually did a sketch of the dog’s toys!
